Sootopolis is having an annual celebration to commemorate the aversion of the weather crisis in Hoenn. However, a mysterious gang infiltrates Sootopolis and attacks Wallace and all his family and, more strangely - they demand to know where Seymour is.
Realizing that this is not the first time the group have attacked Sootopolis and Wallace's family in the past, Wallace decides to take revenge and find the home of the gang to put a stop to their operations once and for all. During his journey in this new region however, he is shocked by his findings and begins to question his own moralities - and whether he is, in fact, the true villain of this story.
